OpenConsent is a privacy infrastructure engineering company built and backed by a team of experts in global scale systems and standards pertaining to privacy, identity, security and surveillance.   

OpenConsent, as a privacy engineering company, specialises in privacy infrastructure automation that works across international privacy requirements.  

Our core mission is to engineer enforceable privacy standards for surveillance and to support decentralised infrastructure development. 

Open Consent Group (OCG) was founded by IDmachines US and Smart Species Can, to support multi-stakeholder development of standards for data governance interoperability.  

OCG has been apart of a growing effort that lobbied for Privacy: Notice and Consent standards for over a decade.   Lobbying for privacy enforcement, consent in digital identity, and personal data control.  Our work has been used to develop the Kantara Initiative : Consent Receipt Standard and harmonise digital notice for consent laws.   

OPN In 2021

We launch the international, Open Privacy Network OPN, which is a NGO-surveillance registry for consent by design systems. OPN does not process personal data as a business model. 

Its core purpose is to provide an international register for a privacy controller credential that can be used to digitally sign policy, provide consent receipts, mint notice and consent tokens, for decentralising data  governance.
